Arik Cohen · Legacy Speaker

What were the odds that all four would survive?

That question is at the heart of the stories I share about my grandparents. Their lives were shaped by persecution, separation, unexpected help, and extraordinary luck. Their survival made my own family possible.

I share their history as a Legacy Speaker with the Holocaust Center for Humanity’s Speakers Bureau. Through family memories, photographs, testimony, and archival records, I help audiences meet the people behind the history.

How this began

I began researching my family’s Holocaust history in 2014. My grandparents had not always spoken about what they experienced. Family recollections, recorded testimony, and documents helped me begin to understand more of their lives.

Sharing their stories with schools and community groups is a way to keep those lives present and to invite others to ask questions about their own families.
